Artifact: RESEARCH.md / research.md

Domain / technology research output that informs the plan. Four frameworks produce it:

• GSD — RESEARCH.md: written during gsd-plan-phase by the four parallel instances of gsd-phase-researcher (stack, features, architecture, pitfalls); feeds gsd-planner.
• Spec Kit — research.md: technology investigation and comparative analysis produced by speckit-plan alongside plan.md, data-model.md, and contracts/.
• BMAD — research reports: market, domain, and technical research from bmad-research (Mary), produced up front in the Analysis phase to ground the brief/PRD, rather than inside planning.
• Matt Pocock — mp-research: a background agent investigates the question against primary sources and writes a single cited Markdown file wherever the repo keeps such notes.
