Artifact: product brief
BMAD’s pre-PRD scoping document — brief.md (+ addendum.md), produced in the Analysis phase to capture the problem, audience, and boundaries of a prospective project before the requirements spec is written. It is one of the inputs the PRD workflow synthesizes; the brief scopes, the PRD specifies.
Two variants share this page:
- PRFAQ (
prfaq-{project}.md, from bmad-prfaq) — an Amazon-style Working-Backwards press release + FAQ: write the launch announcement first, then stress-test whether the product could earn it. - Forged idea (
forged-idea.md, from bmad-forge-idea) — the hardened output of adversarially pressure-testing a concept “until it hardens, proves out, or dies cheaply.”
